Hall of Tech – Return & Warranty Policy

Warranty Coverage

Every Hall of Tech gaming PC includes a 1 year warranty covering parts and labor, starting from the date of delivery. If a component fails under normal use during that period, we repair or replace it at no cost to you.

Every system we build is assembled, stress-tested, and photographed before it ships. We keep build photos, component serial numbers, and pre-shipment test records on file for every machine that leaves our shop.

To start a warranty claim, email store@halloftech.com with your order number and a description of the issue.

Two Kinds of Builds, Two Different Return Rules

Before reading the returns section, check which type of system you ordered. The rules are different.

Prebuilt systems are the named builds listed on our store (FPS Grim Reaper, Polar Bear, Dragon Tamer, Budget Baller, Frame Chaser, The Classic One, Matcha, and others). You select a CPU and GPU from the options we offer, and we handle the rest of the configuration. These are returnable under the terms below.

Fully custom builds are systems ordered through our Custom Built Consultation Service, where you specify the components yourself and we source and assemble them to your spec. Because every part was your selection, these are final sale and cannot be returned. They remain fully covered by the 1 year parts and labor warranty.

Returns on Prebuilt Systems

You may request a return within 7 calendar days of confirmed delivery if you decide the system is not for you.

To qualify, the system must come back in the same condition it arrived in, including:

  • The original shipping box
  • All internal and external packaging materials
  • Foam inserts, accessories, cables, manuals, and documentation

A few things to know:

  • All return requests must be submitted in writing to store@halloftech.com before shipping anything back. Returns sent without prior authorization will be refused and returned to sender.
  • Shipping costs are the customer's responsibility, both the original outbound shipping and the return shipping.
  • Once approved, returns ship to: Hall of Tech, 15270 Rosecrans Ave, La Mirada, CA 90638

Defective or Dead on Arrival Systems

If your system arrives damaged, will not power on, or is not working correctly, report it within 7 days of delivery to store@halloftech.com. This is separate from the return window above and applies to every system we sell, including fully custom builds.

Send photos or video of the issue where possible. We will determine whether the situation calls for repair, replacement, or a refund, and we cover shipping both ways on genuine DOA claims.

Inspection and Refund Processing

All returned systems are inspected and diagnostically tested before a refund is approved. During inspection we may test system stability, verify component serial numbers, and check BIOS, firmware, and software integrity against our pre-shipment records.

If we find physical, cosmetic, electrical, or internal damage, missing parts, or altered components, repair or replacement costs will be deducted from the refund. Damage that is excessive or appears intentional may result in a denied refund.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method only, and are processed within 3 to 7 business days after inspection is complete.

Modifications and User-Induced Damage

We want you to enjoy your machine, and light tinkering is part of owning a gaming PC. That said, some changes carry real risk of hardware damage, so please contact us first before making any of the following:

  • BIOS configuration changes
  • Voltage, frequency, or power limit adjustments
  • Enabling or disabling XMP/EXPO, PBO, manual overclocking, or undervolting
  • Firmware flashing or rollback

We are happy to walk you through any of these. Reach out to store@halloftech.com and we will tell you what is safe for your specific configuration.

If a system fails as a direct result of these changes made without checking with us first, the resulting damage is not covered under warranty, the system is not eligible for return, and repair costs will be billed to the customer.

What Voids Coverage

Warranty coverage and return eligibility do not apply where damage results from:

  • Physical damage such as drops, impacts, bent pins, cracked PCBs, or broken ports
  • Liquid or environmental damage
  • Unauthorized repairs, upgrades, or part swaps
  • Removal or tampering with serial numbers or security seals
  • BIOS or firmware modifications made without contacting us first
  • Software misuse, malware, crypto mining, or OS corruption caused by user activity
  • Improper power sources, surge damage, or incorrect cabling

Non-Returnable Items

The following are final sale:

  • Fully custom builds ordered through the Custom Built Consultation Service
  • Clearance, discounted, and promotional systems
  • Systems returned without original packaging or accessories
  • Software licenses, activation keys, and digital products

All of these are still covered by the 1 year parts and labor warranty.

Before You File a Chargeback

If something is wrong, contact us first. We answer email at store@halloftech.com and phone at (657) 210-5550, and we have resolved almost every issue that has come our way.

Filing a chargeback without contacting us first removes our ability to fix the problem, and may result in warranty voidance and denial of future service or purchases.
